More about School Councils UK Membership

School Councils UK Membership grew out of two needs for schools and school councils. Firstly the need find and talk to each other, sharing ideas, successes and supporting each other to develop effective pupil participation. The second was a need to become organised and create an online presence for their school council and whole school.

We get many enquiries from teachers and pupils asking for examples of effective school councils. Some wish to see a successful anti-bullying scheme, or get fundraising ideas, or find out about peer training.

Examples of successful participation are scattered across the UK, but until now there was no way for school councils in different parts of the country to find and talk to one another.
