  • ‘Energy Walk-rounds’ to spot where savings can be made are a good way to get started.
  • Heating - the largest use of energy in a school - is often wasted by being set to provide too high a temperature and turned on when it’s not needed and . E-teams can work with school staff to help with this and also with cutting down on wasteful draughts
  • Lighting is usually the next largest energy cost in a school. E-team members can help to make big savings by making sure lighting and other electrical equipment are on only when needed.
