What was going on

School Council Aim to Put a Stop to the Bullies Pupils at Onslow St Audrey's School will be able to put their concerns into a "worry box", as well as being able to anonymously text or email their worries to a dedicated mobile phone line and e-mail.

What we did

The school council thrashed out its final anti-bullying policy and came up with the innovative solutions following the national anti-bullying week last November. School councillors from each class have told the school's senior management team and governors that they want to create an environment where bullying is not tolerated. They made clear plans on how and who to tell if people are being bullied or witness bullying and how all incidents should be logged. Texts, e-mails and messages will all be checked daily in a bid to deal with problems as soon as possible.

What changed

Council chairperson Jack Lawrence said: "There's always going to be some (bullying), so just in case we set this up." The council will be running a trial of the new policy this term
