Birmingham Training
Good News!
We are in the early stages of setting up Regional School Council Training Courses.
The first course will be for Secondary Schools and we have chosen a venue on the edge of Birmingham.
It is anticipated that the day will cover:
- Exploring the purpose, scope and benefits of a Student Council,
- Identify and develop skills for efficient and productive meetings,
- Explore the effectiveness of your own Student Council and address areas of concern,
- Identify how the council can be at the heart of Student Voice throughout the school and can be sustained year on year.
Places will be available for your School Council Link Teacher and two members of the Council. The number of schools attending the Training Course will be limited, but a minimum of 12 schools need to take part to enable to Training Course to go ahead.
The day will include:-
- Mid morning and mid afternoon refreshments,
- Buffet lunch,
- A School Council Secondary Student Handbook and pen for each delegate,
- A School Council Toolkit on CD for each school attending.
The cost will be in the region of £265 plus VAT per school.
