AIMS Participants will increase their knowledge and understanding of:
  • Good practice in overcoming potential obstacles to learning and creating a culture inclusive of health-related differences.
  • Medical conditions common in mainstream schools.
  • Sources of advice and support.
  • Strategies for preventing stigmatisation and increasing empathy and awareness among adults and children.
AUDIENCE School leaders; SENCOs; all teachers who want to optimise learning opportunities for children living with medical conditions; and other professionals working directly with mainstream schools (All KSs).
COST £30 (£15 second participant from the same school), includes VAT, lunch and refreshments.
