Haiti Appeal

Kids CAN make a difference.

As the devastation unfolds before us, on TV, on radio and in the press, it is clear that we must all endeavour to support those affected.

In conjunction with our partners, School Councils Foundation has developed a two-tier strategy:

(1) Where possible, we will provide survival kits – each containing food, shelter and a water purification system.

(2) We aim to support the re-establishment of education for the survivors by making available educational materials and distance learning opportunities for young people – they are the country's future.

Please give all you can to support this appeal. You can give by credit card by phoning 0845 456 9428 or by sending a cheque to School Councils Foundation, Unit 5, Quadrangle Centre, The Drift, Nacton Road, Ipswich IP3 9QR.

You can also pray for the survivors during your assembly.

The Revd Leonard Payne said today "This is a wonderful opportunity for everyone, including school children, to make a real difference to those in Haiti. Helping, not only with immediate needs, but with long term educational opportunities for the most desperate".

Over the coming days, we will provide regular updates on our website and by email bulletins.
