What do you think about the government's proposals that 16 year olds have to stay in school until 18?
(personally I think it's crazy. If people don't want to be there, why force them?)
You can tell the government what you think. This is from an email from ESSA (the English Secondary Schools Association)
Calling all ESSA Members! Here is a great opportunity for you to get your voice heard...
The Department for Education and Skills are trying to get in touch with students like yourselves to find out what you think about the proposed increase of the school leaving age to 18. At the moment, we are only required to be in full-time education until we are 16.
On their website, they have a short questionaire which you can fill out and send back to them. This is a great opportunity to join with other young people and voice your opinion on a current issue in education. The more students take part, the more chance we have of influencing policy! -

SOME PEOPLA RE BORN ACADEMIC AND SOME WITH SKILLS AND TALENTS THAT THEY CAN PUT INTO A JOB AND WE ARE BETTER OFF AS A SOCIETY TO RESPECT THESE DIFFERENCES. THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH SKILLED PEOPLE OUT THERE!

i think that its a extremley bad idea because you have 2 learn 4 another 2 yrs while if you left when you was 16 you could start 2 go 2 collage -
